Won the Battle of New Orleans which took place on January 8, 1815, and was a major battle of the War of 1812. American forces defeated an invading British army trying to seize New Orleans and America's western lands.

Idian removal Act

I am a farmer and as many other farmers feel the same way . We need more space for fertile land to farm. Without the fertile land we cant support are country . Native Americans already have more then enough land and they would have no problem moving a little more west so we could expand and set up new states. But when Andrew Jackson so kindly asked them to move and they denied are request. So I agree in the measures Andrew Jackson used to move them to a more then kind land. Yes I am so srry for the People who lost their life on the trail of tears and i send my regards to any family effected but it was needed for our strong leader Andrew Jackson to make a tough decision and let us carry on with our expansion.

Andrew Jackson is horrible!!!!!! b/c you didn't listen to the Supreme Court when u signed the Indian Removal Act of 1830 nd u ignored their ruling on the Cherokee nation! You overstepped ur boundaries! -IT

Yo Andrew, why did you make the natives move to different lands? Congress told u that u had no right to force the indians off their land but you didnt care. Since you're such a great guy you tricked them into signing a treaty, so they had to move west. Oh, and I guess the Supreme Court doesnt have any authority.

I cried when i saw all the homeless native americans walking sadly down a trail of tears. u aren't the guy i believed u were. is it worth it to have thousands of people lose their homes just cuz u want more land. i saw the cherokee pass by more porch as ur men moved them in georgia. ur a bum. -ACarter

Jackson, your idea to move the Natives was terrible! you left many people homeless and caused many deaths! this was very unfair because you were favoring one race, the white people, and didn't give a second thought to the fact that the indians lost all of their land. you're a horrible person and i despise you. -MD
